Hey there, Mama! Yes, I’m totally talking to you! I’m Amber, and I am beyond thrilled that you are here! It’s time to hang up your preconceived notions about what health is and embrace this craziness we call life as it is.
I am a Certified Personal Trainer and Running coach, foodie wannabe, lover of all things gym and running and am quite fluent in sarcasm.
My specialty is working with mamas just like you who are tired of working out and feeling like they’re on and off a diet and seeing no results.
The clock feels like it’s on fast-forward, doesn’t it?
Believe me, I get it. I’m a wife and mama too as well as a business owner. My days are a blur. But you know what? I wouldn’t change it for a second. Because I get to work with and write to awesome mamas just like you.
I started Amber George – Fitness & Lifestyle in May of 2017 (formerly known as Pounding Pavement with Amber & Be Fearlessly Fit) because I fully believe that living a full and healthy lifestyle is completely doable even with the clock feeling like it’s on fast forward and you’ve got a hubby and kiddos needing your attention.
Feeling exhausted and overwhelmed?
Girl, I hear you. Plus, reaching your fitness goals can seem daunting, can’t it? Even if you’ve been working at it for years, it always seems like there’s something new that you “should be doing” and everything seems to contradict itself doesn’t it?
Enter, Me! I will help you decipher the mixed messages and keep the journey nice and simple. Because, here’s the truth, sister. Healthy living isn’t about dieting and living in the gym. It’s about balance and making good choices

A bit more about me
Well… I’m the wife of my high school sweetheart and we have a wonderful little boy. I’m a certified personal trainer and running coach who has been around the fitness block once or twice. 😉
The gym and running is my escape and I truly have a passion for it. Coupled with my passion for living a full and healthy life, it spills over to writing.
That is, writing to and working with mamas who have fitness goals they want to meet and want to fall in love with their body again.
Here’s your first tip – don’t wait to reach your goals to fall in love with your body. Fall in love with your body right now. Work towards those goals because you love your body, not because you hate it.
Also…
I tend to talk too much and type too fast, so sometimes you might find an error in my typing even though I proofread each post multiple times! It’s called real life.
When I found out I was pregnant with our son,
I told myself that I was going to be the healthiest pregnant woman you had ever seen and wouldn’t gain more than the recommended amount of weight and keep my health in check.
Long story short, I had major health problems during the entirety of my pregnancy, gained over 60 pounds and my blood pressure was out of control. Our delivery was no less dramatic as we had to take emergency precautions and I didn’t get to hold my son for several hours due to procedures having to take place to help us.
By the grace of God, my son and I are both well and I have been able to come back from trauma even stronger than I was before. Since then, I am making it my life mission to work with young women in their quest towards their fitness.
Social media and where to find me!
If you’re wanting more of a sneak peek into my routine and day to day, while seeing fitness tips, client successes, and plenty of snarkiness, you can give me a follow on Instagram. I post daily encouragement, fitness tips and tricks, meals, and how I keep up with being healthy while running my own business! It’s a more personal touch.
You can also check out the Facebook group I recently created. It’s a community by a woman, mainly for women (there are a few men/dads) where you’ll find that I post workouts, healthy recipes, fitness routines, & over all lifestyle tips.
You can also go here to get access to my free fitness resource library and hop on my email list! I promise I won’t spam. I hate spam and I know you do too. 🙂

Frequently asked questions about me
How old are you?
Dirty Thirty Baby!
Favorite “Cheat Meal”
First of all, I hate calling them cheat meals, because that means you’ve done something wrong. Having pizza every now and then is not a crime! It’s called balance. It’s when it’s a staple in your diet that it’s an issue.
That said, it is thin crust, meat lovers pizza.
Who are your certifications through?
I am an ACE Certified Personal Trainer, a RRCA Certified Running Coach, and a CrossFit Level One Coach. CF doesn’t call their licenses certifications though unless you’re a level 3 I think… but I am licensed to coach CrossFit classes at CrossFit affiliates 🙂

The beach. I love cruises as well, but a week laying on the beach does my heart wonders
Favorite Weight Lifting Move?
Deadlift. Lifting heavy like that is so empowering

Pet Peeve(s)?
This could get dangerous… I’d have to say, chewing with your mouth open. God gave you lips for a reason; to keep the food in your mouth and so others don’t have to see it!
#1 Fitness Tip?
Find an activity that you actually enjoy doing. Love going to the gym? Awesome, mix up your routines and keep it interesting. Like to dance? Fabulous, find a dance class. Find something you enjoy doing and make it work!
Where is one place in the world you would want to travel?
Fiji. Hands down. One day I will go there.
Who is your personal hero?
Thomas Edison ranks pretty high up there. He didn’t let failure stand in the way of his success. He saw failure as part of success.
That is something I try to live by.

Believe it or not, History! I loved it, but I had great History teachers though. History can be learned from as well and if we don’t, we’re bound to repeat it.
How long have you and your husband been together?
We have been married over 8 years and been together over 14.
What’s a quote to live by?
“Fear is the biggest liar you will ever meet. You’re more beautiful than you know and stronger than you ever thought was possible. It’s time Face Everyday with confidence and Rise to take charge of your life.”
